Are directories even counted as link building by crawlers like gogglebot? Maybe you should drop that link or at least clarify it a bit more.

these days, any little bit of weight of link juice is helpful… It is a lot of work, but… Google will take notice of how many links are pointing back to your website.
Eventually you wouldn’t have to worry about that page rank of the web directory or article directory you are putting your link on…
A back link, is a back link…
When you start a linking campaign, being selective of page rank & a decent Alexa rank is a smart move… It will help throw some juice at your site…
After that, it almost doesn’t really matter where you post a link… The more back links you have the better…
